WHO WE ARE:

Washington Counties Insurance Fund (WCIF) is a public non-profit member-run multiple employer trust established in 1958 by Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC). WCIF provides health and welfare benefits to Washington public employers and eligible non-profit entities. WCIF does not just sell you an insurance policy. We service that policy through our staff and carrier partners, providing you with a full-service experience that is unique to WCIF.

SUMMARY:

Washington Counties Insurance Fund (WCIF) is accepting applications for the position of Account Executive. The Account Executive serves as WCIF’s representative to the members in their assigned book of business as well as the public in general. The Account Executive’s responsibilities include all facets of customer service, promotion & education of new products, as well as ongoing support for participating employees. The Account Executive will also work together with the WCIF Team to bring new business to WCIF.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

The successful applicant must have an excellent understanding of the health benefits industry and be capable of gaining comprehensive knowledge of the products and services offered by WCIF. The position requires at least three years’ experience, preferably five years, in the health benefit industry.

The Account Executive must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills to facilitate successful interaction with members and partners in a professional manner. The position also requires the ability to make presentations to both large and small groups, while respectfully gauging the complexity of materials matching the knowledge level of the audience.

The Account Executive must have and maintain a license as a Life and Disability Insurance Producer from the Office of the Insurance Commissioner of the State of Washington. In addition, the position requires a working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher. A working knowledge of Zywave Brokerage Builder or other client management software is preferred. As a significant amount of travel is required for this position, a Valid Washington State Driver’s License is required.

LOCATION, SALARY & BENEFITS:

The Account Executive will be based in the WCIF office in Tumwater, WA with an opportunity for a remote hybrid schedule, but some travel, including overnight and air travel, is also required. The starting salary for the position is 76K – 83K DOQ, in addition to an excellent benefits package.
