Did you know…

Now that we are just about at the end of first quarter 2020, we wanted to provide you with some updates regarding the WCIF medical plans.

Premera Blue Cross

  • In light of the Covid-19 pandemic, we want to remind you of the virtual care benefits available under the Premera plans. Virtual care with Teladoc Q&A
  • The 2020 Benefit Booklets are now posted to the WCIF website.  You will find them on the Premera Plan Information page.
  • Premera has lengthened the amount of time an individual has to complete any pre-authorized treatment.  Pre-authorizations are now valid for 90 days instead of 60 days.
  • The stand alone 12-visit massage therapy benefit is not subject to the EviCore review.  This means that there is no pre-authorization requirement for this benefit.
  • The Heritage Plus Network plans have a new benefit for Total Joint Replacement, (Hips and Knees) effective January 1, 2020.  We also want to provide you with a reminder about the travel benefits that are included in that benefit. The Travel benefits include air travel and ground transportation from airport to hotel for the member and a companion.  Lodging (up to IRS limits) is available to members living more than 50 miles away from a Premera Designated Centers of Excellence facility.

Kaiser Permanente (KP)

  • Kaiser Permanente sent out an email to all members regarding their telehealth and in-person care.  Click here to view a flyer that outlines the information members received via email.
  • With individuals being asked to stay home, it can be hard to keep up with your wellness goals.  Did you know that Kaiser Permanente has Wellness Coaching by phone available to your employees?  Click here for the program FAQ.
  • The generic 2020 Benefit Booklets are now posted to the WCIF website.  You will find them on the KP Plan Information page.  Kaiser Permanente assigns different group numbers to each plan per participating employer.  WCIF staff sent out emails with your group numbers.  Please be on the lookout for an email from Kaiser Permanente with your specific Benefit Booklets.
